Day4 No class today！The whole day was spent on the mountains. We took the hill line to the mountains in the morning. At first, we got to The Lawrence Hall of Science, the technology center of Berkeley, even the US. There were so many interesting places for kids to develop their intelligence, like sciences on a sphere, young explorers area planetarium, discovery corner, design quest and so on. It was easy to see American parents taking their children here to play LEGO and different kinds of games. Some of the kids were too young to talk, but they played there happily. Their parents just stood by their kids and watched them quietly without any words. This is a good way for kids to develop their intelligence and light up their mind. As Chinese parents, sometimes, we also need to let the children do something by themselves as they want and maybe they will give us a big surprise. I would rather call it “the play garden of children” than technology center of the Berkeley even the US!

After lunch, we went to the Botanic Garden of Berkeley. This is the kingdom of different kinds of plants. The garden was built on the hillside. The plants here are growing well with good natural environment, of course, good caring from human beings. I saw lots of giant plants like giant cactus and giant aloes. That was a great experience for me. Because in 2015, in Monaco, I saw the cactus like this big, maybe the climate of these two places are the same (mediterranean climate). But unluckily,my partner deleted the pictures by mistake. I regreted for this thing because I could just see the wonderful cactus in my mind. But today, I compensated for the regret in the Botanic Garden!!

We will go to Stanford University tomorrow. What an interesting trip!
