Day 5

Stanford university is a dream land in my mind.

Like many Chinese students, I always told myself, if someone let me try again, I will try my best to get into a famous university. Maybe it’s late for me. But Stanford is one of them.

Today, we took a trip to Stanford university in San Francisco. The weather is always great and the sky is always blue here. Although sun burnt a lot, it made me feel comfortable, because it wasn’t humid like Qingdao at all! I just need a winter to make my skin turn whiten, but it takes me 28 years to have a chance to visit the US, so I don’t care to sunburn.

Since the bad traffic, we had a 2 hours’ bus ride to Stanford University, but it was worth. Not like many old trees in UCB, there are so many wonderful high palms and lawn in the campus.

Some of the buildings here are old. Compare with the modern feeling of UC Berkeley, Stanford University is more historical，like a full-length novel for us to find its excellence.

The most impressive place for me was the stone carving books on the sides of the square-wooden benches. It’s awesome! Maybe the famous aspects are everywhere even on the benches.

As we got back, I enjoyed the beautiful scenery on the road of the trip. I have a habit that I never sleep on the bus, because I don’t want to miss the most beautiful things!

As I looked out of the bus, suddenly, I found an interesting thing. The thick clouds hid behind the hills started to roll across the hills, just like a silver belt to over the hills. Oh! I always wonder why the weather in San Francisco looks strange.

When I stand on UCB’s mountains to overview the city, the sky is so blue and the weather is so good. But around the hills and sea far away, it is always foggy like a “silver belt” to decorate the whole city. The rolling clouds here gave me the answer. That’s amazing!

Tomorrow is the last studying day in BCU. I will miss the life here. And I will be back one day in the future. It won’t take me 28 years again! Good night!
