Religious places are always very sacred .

I have never been to any church 'cause I'm an atheist. In my impression, religions often make people superstitious. Like non-stop praying, or fighting for different beliefs.

But today, I knew I was wrong.

When I was sitting in the middle of the cathedral, when the magnificent walls were reflected by the sunlight, I felt amazed and so surprised. And when the choir began singing, I thought maybe I was in wonderland . The choir sang like angels. I promise that I have never listened a voice beautiful like this before. I sat on the seat and looked to them, obsessed. I felt something like reverence was in my heart.

Maybe I know why people have religions.

The religions make people feel they lives are meaningful, 'cause when they in the church, they will feel their lives are meaningful. It is not only the meaning of the religion, as it is also the meaning of the belief, or the meaning of the spiritual goal.
